Rich Moth is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Manchester Metropolitan University, with a PhD from the University of Birmingham and a MA in Social Work from Goldsmiths College. His research focuses on mental health, neoliberal policy reform, and critical social work, examining the intersection of welfare systems, marketisation, and institutional oppression. He has led and co-authored studies on austerity impacts, workfare policies, and grassroots resistance movements.
