Dr Joseph Greener is a Lecturer in Sociology, Social Policy, and Criminology at the University of Liverpool's School of Law and Social Justice within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. His research focuses on critical criminology, political economy, and social policy, emphasizing the intersections of state power, neoliberalism, and global inequality. He explores topics like state-corporate crime in the Global South, anti-migrant politics in Singapore, and the sociological implications of mental health policies under austerity.
Greener teaches modules such as Social Change and Social Policy, Social Control and the City, and The Violence of Neo-imperialism.
