Ricardo Bernardo is a Senior Lecturer at Lund University's Division of Energy and Building Design, part of the Lund Institute of Technology (LTH). He is a member of LTH's Profile Area: The Energy Transition, focusing on sustainable energy solutions and building performance. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in advancing energy efficiency and climate resilience in urban environments.
Key research interests include energy renovation of residential buildings, lifecycle assessment methodologies, and the integration of digital tools for sustainable design. He leads or participates in projects such as COBUILD NEZERO (EIT Climate KIC-funded) and Klimathållbara stadsdelar (Swedish Energy Agency), emphasizing practical applications of research in urban climate neutrality.
