Her research focuses on refugees, migration, and rights, particularly in the Afro-Asian world and their impact on global/international orders. Current projects explore the 1972 expulsion of Uganda’s Asians and the transition of humanitarian frameworks post-decolonization. She examines how postcolonial nation-states redefined refugee policies, contrasting with international norms.
Key publications include Making Refugees in India (Oxford UP, 2022) and articles analyzing refugee frameworks and decolonization. Her work bridges historical analysis with contemporary debates on migration and rights.
