Professor Susan Kneebone is a Professorial Fellow and Associate at the Asian Law Centre, Melbourne Law School (University of Melbourne), with a prior role as Professor at Monash University's Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on international migration law, refugee rights, human trafficking, and South East Asian legal frameworks. She holds visiting appointments at institutions such as Oxford University's Refugee Studies Centre and the National University of Singapore's Asia Research Institute.
Her expertise includes regional refugee protection mechanisms, statelessness, and the intersection of migration with gender and human rights. Key publications include Transnational Crime and Human Rights (2012) and Refugee Protection and the Role of Law (2014).
