Dr Rhys Crilley is a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Glasgow, specializing in nuclear weapons, critical security studies, and the role of media in global politics. He leads the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project 'Atomic Anxiety in the New Nuclear Age' and has published extensively on topics such as nuclear disarmament, Russian media strategies, and the impact of social media on diplomacy. Crilley holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and has received the Best Paper Award from the International Studies Association in 2016. He is also a deputy editor at the journal Politics and contributes to various research networks focused on nuclear policy and international communication.
