Rhiannan Johnson is an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Arts at the University of Southern Queensland. She holds a BVisArt (USQ, 2010), BFineArts(Hons) (RMIT, 2010), and PhD (USQ, 2014). Her research focuses on visual arts pedagogy, pandemic impacts on creative practices, curatorial development in Australia, and printmaking techniques. She has supervised over 10 doctoral candidates since 2022, exploring topics like architectural memory, socio-economic impacts on women artists, and digital curatorial practices.
Recent exhibitions include 'Fill Your Eyes 2' (2024) and 'My Backyard' (2024), while publications address online education adaptations, pandemic narratives, and community engagement strategies. Her work bridges traditional artistic methods with contemporary digital tools, emphasizing resilience in regional creative industries. Johnson has contributed to national and international exhibitions, including the Galway International Arts Festival and Printmaking Exchange portfolios.
