Kelsey Halliday Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and researcher based in Philadelphia. She currently serves as the inaugural Curatorial Fellow in Photography and New Media at the Michener Art Museum, focusing on shaping future programming in emerging media and art historical narratives. Her work bridges artistic practice and scholarly research, often exploring themes of technology, history, and human-environment interactions. Johnson holds an MFA from the Stuart Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned a Certificate in Landscape Studies.

Her curatorial projects, such as Trim Tab (2016), critically examine societal reinterpretations of visionary concepts like Buckminster Fuller’s geodesic domes. Johnson’s artistic practice includes experimental photography, such as her KeLCD/Third Eye series (2011), which merges biometric data with analog photography. She has been awarded grants for independent curatorial initiatives and has contributed essays to publications on topics ranging from 1960s feminist media art to Philadelphia-based artists.
Johnson maintains active roles in the Philadelphia arts community, including participation in the artist-run space Vox Populi and guest lecturing at universities. Her work has been exhibited at institutions like the Berman Museum of Art and Delaware Contemporary, and she has published writings in academic and museum journals.
