Anna Neighbor is a Lecturer at the Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania, and also teaches photography at Moore College of Art and Design. Her artistic practice explores existential themes through photography, rubbings, imprints, and mixed media installations that examine mortality and human experience.
Neighbor's research focuses on creating visual representations of suppressed human experiences, using traces and reflections as central metaphors. Her work has been exhibited at Greenlease Gallery in Kansas City and Vox Populi in Philadelphia.
She received the 2010 Wind Challenge award from the Fleisher Art Memorial, recognizing innovative contemporary artists in the Philadelphia region.
