Leigh Davis is a Part-Time Teaching Professor at Parsons School of Design, The New School. She holds interdisciplinary interests in collaborative practice, community engagement, and socially engaged art, with expertise in oral history, archives, photography, sound, installation, and film/video. Davis is a native of Pittsburgh and currently works between Washington, D.C., and New York City, blending artistic mediums to explore themes of grief, memory, and storytelling. Her recent projects include Inquiry into the End-of-Life Experience (exhibited at Vox Populi, Philadelphia) and the audio installation Vigil (Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn).
Her research emphasizes site-specificity and spirituality in art, reflecting on human consciousness and afterlife narratives. Notable exhibitions and performances include works at Open Source Gallery, BRIC, EFA Project Space, Oliver Art Center at CCA, and MICA, alongside collaborations with the Morbid Anatomy Museum, Dixon Place, and Hunter East Harlem Gallery. Davis is affiliated with the Public Interest Design Lab, focusing on community-driven archives and public art projects like the Rosedale neighborhood initiative in Northeast DC.

She teaches Integrative Studio 2 (PUFY 1001), offering courses in Spring 2025 and Spring 2026. Her work spans installations, films, and performances, interrogating universal human experiences through interdisciplinary lenses.
