Gabriel Martinez

Gabriel Martinez is a Senior Lecturer at the Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. A Cuban-American visual artist specializing in photography, performance, and installation, he exhibits nationally at venues including ICA Philadelphia, Philadelphia Museum of Art, White Columns NYC, and Miami Art Central.

His honors include a Pew Fellowship (2001), Joan Mitchell Fellowship (2003), and two Pennsylvania Council on the Arts grants. Residencies include The Fabric Workshop, MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and Atlantic Center for the Arts. He is represented by Samson Gallery in Boston.
