Professor Renea Taylor is an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University, and Co-Head of the Cancer Program at the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute. She leads the Prostate Cancer Research Group in the Department of Physiology, specializing in translational research targeting prostate cancer. Her work focuses on hormonal regulation of stem cells, tumor microenvironment interactions, and genetic risk factors like BRCA2 mutations. She co-founded the Melbourne Urological Research Alliance (MURAL), managing Australia's largest patient-derived xenograft (PDX) collection, critical for drug development and biomarker discovery. Taylor chairs the Victorian node of the Australian Prostate Cancer Bioresource (APCB), overseeing >8,500 patient samples contributing to 120+ publications and international collaborations.
