Reeju Ray is an Associate Professor of History at O.P. Jindal Global University, India, and Assistant Dean for International Collaboration since 2019. Her research focuses on legal history in India, colonial jurisdiction in the British Empire, law and minority governance, and frontier/borderland studies. She has held postdoctoral and teaching roles at institutions including the University of Western Ontario, University of Toronto, and Queen’s University.

Her work examines Rechtstransfer in common law systems and institutional cooperation in legal history between India and global academic institutions. She has received prestigious fellowships and awards, including the Royal Historical Society Fellowship (2024) and SSHRC Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships (2015–2017).

- Comparative legal history methodologies
- Rechtstransfer in transnational legal systems
She has been recognized with grants from the Max Planck Institute, York University, and Queen’s University, alongside scholarships like the Alan Bray Scholarship (2010) and Timothy C.S. Frank Research Scholarship (2010).
