Turni Chakrabarti is an Assistant Professor at the Jindal School of Languages and Literature (JSLL), O. P. Jindal Global University. She holds a PhD in English from The George Washington University (2022), an MA from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and a BA (Hons) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. Her research focuses on disruptive widowhood in Indian and British novels of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, examining socio-cultural and political influences. She teaches courses on British literature and gender/sexuality in Bollywood cinema.
