Praseeda Gopinath is an Associate Professor in the Department of English, General Literature and Rhetoric at Binghamton University. Her research focuses on masculinity and gender studies, postcolonial studies, Twentieth Century British literature, and South Asia studies. She has published extensively in journals such as Contemporary Literature, South Asian Popular Culture, and Textual Practice, while co-editing special issues on masculinity and gendered soundscapes.

Her publications span interdisciplinary themes, including the politics of sound, Hindutva nationalism, and media-driven stardom.
