Rebecca Bridgefarmer serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Health and Human Performance within the College of Education and Human Services at East Texas A&M University, while also holding adjunct positions at Arizona College of Nursing and operating her private nutrition practice (Bridgefarmer Nutrition Counseling and Meal Planning).
She earned a Master of Science in Community Nutrition from Abilene Christian University (2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Texas Woman's University (2013), following a Dietetic Internship at Abilene Christian University (2019-2020).
Her research and teaching centers on the critical relationship between nutrition and holistic health, with emphases on public health advocacy, mental wellness through dietary choices, and experiential learning. She is actively developing East Texas A&M's dietetic internship program (launching 2025) to bridge academic training with real-world dietetics practice, particularly targeting public health initiatives around nutrition and exercise.
Professional recognitions include ServSafe Manager certification and Registered Dietitian credentials from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Prior to academia, she served as District Food Science Facilitator and Food Science Teacher at Rowlett High School (2018-2022), bringing practical K-12 education experience to her university teaching. Her student-centered approach focuses on creating safe learning environments where coursework connects to personal health outcomes and career goals in nutrition fields.
