Kaylie Campbell serves as a Lecturer in Nutrition within the Department of Health and Human Performance at East Texas A&M University, where she oversees the undergraduate nutrition and dietetics program and designs curriculum for nutrition courses. With over six years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian specializing in sports dietetics, she works directly with student-athletes to optimize performance through nutrition and foster healthy relationships with food.
Her educational background includes:
- Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Nutrition, Texas Woman’s University (2019)
- Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nicholls State University (2016)
Dr. Campbell's research focuses on evidence-based applications in athletic performance and emergency response settings, particularly examining female athlete recovery protocols, hydration strategies for first responders, and nutritional interventions in injury rehabilitation. Her work bridges clinical dietetics with practical implementation in high-demand physical environments.
She has received the Dr. Henry Ross Lion Hearted Award (2023-2024) from the Health and Human Performance department for exceptional service and commitment to student development.
As program coordinator for the newly accredited Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree, Dr. Campbell mentors students through coursework including Nutrition Through the Life Cycle, Sports Nutrition, and Medical Nutrition Therapy while collaborating with athletics staff to deliver performance nutrition programming. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes real-world application of nutrition science across diverse populations.
