Raveen Ramachandran Menon is a Research Fellow at Aston Business School and the Advanced Services Group at Aston University. His research focuses on servitization, sustainability, and service supply chain management, with a particular interest in their impact on economic productivity and environmental performance. He holds a PhD from IIT Bombay and Monash University, where his thesis Strategic Fit of Service Supply Chains developed a framework for aligning operant resources with service supply chains. His work bridges qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including behavioral operations and eye-tracking studies in newsvendor settings.
Menon serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Supply Chain Management and as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. His teaching experience includes operations management and supply chain courses at IIT Bombay and Monash University. His current ESRC-funded project examines servitization's role in UK economic and environmental outcomes. Collaborations span sustainability trade-offs, cognitive decision-making, and the triple nexus of environmental, economic, and servitization dynamics.
His research outputs span service supply chain fit, sustainability challenges across countries, and cognitive processes in bounded rationality. Grants include ESRC funding for servitization studies. Menon’s expertise integrates theoretical frameworks with practical supply chain applications, emphasizing net-zero goals and strategic alignment.
