Rasmus Grøn is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Communication and Psychology, part of The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. His research focuses on non-artistic aesthetics, including everyday aesthetics, design aesthetics, and spatial aesthetics, particularly their impact on human wellbeing and actions. Current projects explore movie theaters as experiential spaces and critical design as a social-political practice.
Education includes a PhD in Promotion of Literature on Public Libraries (2010, Det Informationsvidenskabelige Akademi), an MA in Comparative Literature and Sociology (2002, University of Aarhus), and certifications in University Pedagogy (2014) and Team Management (2021).
Teaching spans BA/MA programs in aesthetics, experience design, cultural theory, and design thinking. He developed elective courses on Event Culture, Aesthetization, and Play & Event. Research outputs include peer-reviewed journals, edited anthologies, and conference papers.
Grøn has contributed peer reviews for journals like MedieKultur and Northern Lights, and engaged in media discussions on publishing trends and literature dissemination. His work aligns with UN SDGs related to education and cultural sustainability.
