Ramandeep Kaur is a health services researcher and Associate Project Director at RTI International, a global nonprofit research institute. She holds a PhD in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University (2015) and a Master’s in Arts and Interior Design from California State University, Fresno. Her career transitioned from architectural design—focusing on elderly care facility environments—to health policy research, driven by her mentor John Capitman. At RTI, she supports the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in developing Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) through the Medicare Shared Savings Program. During the pandemic, she analyzed COVID-19-related hospitalizations, emphasizing real-time research applications.
