Raluca Alexandra Stana is an Assistant Professor at the Department of People and Technology Sustainable Digitalization, Roskilde University. Her research focuses on technostress in digitalized workplaces, organizational sociology, and the sociological mechanisms behind ICT-related stress. She has contributed to over 24 research outputs, including books, journal articles, and conference papers, emphasizing the human aspects of technology integration in healthcare, maritime sectors, and public institutions.
Stana has led and participated in research projects such as I4L: Innovation for Leadership (2017-2019) and Democratic Entrepreneurship (2021-2022), exploring democratic business practices and digital leadership. She actively engages in public discourse through podcasts, webinars, and media contributions, addressing workplace digital stress and its societal implications, including a notable podcast discussing the average use of 40 technologies at workplaces.
Her work highlights the urgent need to address technostress through leadership strategies, organizational transparency, and employee well-being frameworks. Notable awards include Best Paper awards at conferences (2020-2021) and recognition as a Nordic Women in Tech Rising Star nominee (2022). Stana’s research bridges academic inquiry with practical solutions for sustainable digitalization in diverse industries.
