Dr. Raju Mulye is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics Finance & Marketing at RMIT University, Australia. His teaching focuses on Marketing Principles, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Analytics. He has received awards such as RMIT’s Innovative Teaching Practice Award for pedagogical innovation. Mulye’s research applies social dilemma theory to marketing challenges, exploring topics like country-of-origin effects, consumer ethnocentrism, and social media influencers. He has supervised ten doctoral students to completion and currently guides one in Artisanal Branding.
His research outputs span consumer psychology, ethical consumption, and market dynamics in emerging economies. Notable works include studies on cancel culture’s impact on brands and organic food’s ethical motives. Mulye actively contributes to marketing academia through conference presentations and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Advising and grants: Ten completed PhD/Master’s students, one ongoing. Research interests include decision analysis and social media’s role in consumer behavior. His work bridges strategic marketing theory with practical applications in global and subsistence markets.
