Raffaella Sadun

Raffaella Sadun is the Charles E. Wilson Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School (HBS) and currently serves as Senior Associate Dean for HBS Publishing. She co-leads the Digital Reskilling Lab and the Project on Managing the Future of Work at HBS. Her research focuses on managerial and organizational drivers of productivity in corporations and public sectors, including foundational work on the World Management Survey, Executive Time Use Study, and MOPS-H hospital management surveys. She holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Her research interests span managerial practices, organizational economics, healthcare management, and digital transformation. Notable awards include the prestigious Grande Ufficiale dell'Ordine 'Al Merito' from Italy (2021) and the HBR McKinsey Award (2017 and 2023). She has published extensively in top journals like the Quarterly Journal of Economics and American Economic Review.

Recent articles emphasize AI-driven reskilling, CEO decision-making, and hospital system mergers. She directs the NBER Working Group on Organizational Economics and co-chairs the Harvard Project on the Workforce. Her work bridges academia and practice through case studies on firms like Ferrari, Davivienda Bank, and Moleskine.
