Rafael MARIN is a CNRS Researcher (CR1) at the University of Lille, affiliated with UMR 8163 - Laboratory, Knowledge, Language Texts HAL. He earned his PhD in Linguistics in 2001 from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where he worked as a doctoral student and ATER from 1994 to 1999. After three years in the private sector as head of the linguistics axis at Planeta Actimedia, SA, he joined CNRS-UMR 8163 in 2005. He obtained his HDR (qualification to supervise research) in 2014 from the University of Paris 8.
His research focuses on the aspectual analysis of grammatical domains, including lexical aspect, stativity, psychological predicates, adjectives, nominalizations, and the semantic-morphology interface. He has coordinated multiple research projects with public and private funding, emphasizing university research promotion.
Dr. MARIN has authored numerous publications in top-tier journals like Linguistics, Journal of Linguistics, Lingua, and Natural Language and Linguistic Theory. His work addresses linguistic resources and ontologies in theoretical and applied linguistics.
