Dr Rachelle Viader Knowles serves as Reader in Creative Practice and Faculty Head of International for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University. With extensive leadership experience including Associate Head International at Coventry University and Head of Visual Arts at the University of Regina (Canada), she directs international initiatives across education, research, and knowledge exchange.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Art+Media from Plymouth University, an MFA in Multi Media Arts from the University of Windsor, and a BA (Hons) Interactive Arts from the University of Wales.
Knowles' research centers on translocal dialogue-based art practices exploring participation, collaboration, and networked methodologies. Her work manifests through international exhibitions, publications, and projects like #3CityLink connecting Regina, Coventry, and Gyumri. She investigates how artistic practices can critically engage with globalized society while addressing mobility politics and networked communications.
