Sergio Vega is a Professor at the University of Florida's School of Art + Art History, teaching in the Photography & Sculpture departments. He has been a full-time faculty member since 1999 and maintains an active international exhibition career.
Education:
- Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program (1991-92)
- MFA in Sculpture, Yale University (1996)
Research & Practice: Vega's work engages with contemporary art forms including sculpture and photography. His exhibitions include major international events such as the 51st Biennale di Venezia (Italy), 5th Biennale de Lyon (France), Soonsbeek 9 (Netherlands), 5th Gwangju Biennial (South Korea), 1st Yokohama Triennale (Japan), and the 2nd Johannesburg Biennale (South Africa).
