Dr. Rachel Duffy is a Lecturer in Marketing and Director of Studies for BSc Marketing at the Kent Business School, University of Kent. She also serves as Programme Director of Business Top-up degrees and is a member of the Marketing group and the Centre for Value Chain Research. Her research focuses on behavioral dimensions of supply chain relationships in the food industry, particularly their implications for performance and sustainable sourcing. Notable collaborations include developing a relationship evaluation tool with Unilever and Oxfam.
Dr. Duffy holds a BSc in Business Studies and a PhD in Supply Chain Partnerships from Imperial College Wye, University of London. Her teaching includes convening International Marketing and Marketing Research modules. She has supervised multiple students, including research on consumer behavior in seafood markets and fairtrade purchasing dynamics. Her publications span topics like fairtrade marketing, organizational justice in supply chains, and supplier-customer relationship strategies.
Publications highlight her contributions to understanding fairtrade consumer behavior, CRM in supply chains, and justice frameworks in retail-supplier relationships. Her work emphasizes ethical practices and sustainable practices within food industry networks.
