Quentin Ramond

Quentin Ramond is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Economics and Social Policy (CEAS), Universidad Mayor, Chile, and an Adjunct Researcher at the Center for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES). His work bridges urban sociology, education policy, and housing inequality, with a focus on segregation and social cohesion.

His research centers on urban sociology, sociology of education, and spatial inequality, particularly examining how residential and school segregation shape individual outcomes and opportunities. He investigates neighborhood peer effects, school choice dynamics, and the social reputations of urban environments, using geocoded administrative data and survey methods.

His recent publications and ongoing projects analyze the impacts of Chile's centralized school admission system on segregation patterns.
