Ann Owens is Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles, specializing in social inequality with a focus on neighborhoods, housing, education, and segregation. She co-leads the Segregation Tracking Project and will co-edit City & Community (ASA journal) starting in 2026. Previously, she was a faculty member at the University of Southern California.
