Jared N. Schachner is a Research Scientist at the USC Price School of Public Policy and affiliated with the UChicago Consortium on School Research and the Los Angeles Education Research Institute. His work focuses on how neighborhood, school, and housing conditions mediate intergenerational inequality, with a structural lens emphasizing race, class, and parental cognitive/health factors. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology & Social Policy from Harvard and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics & Economics/Urban Studies (summa cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania.
