Dr. Qin Zhou is an Associate Professor of Management at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Previously, she worked at Durham University, University of York, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and Twente University. Her research focuses on employee creativity, leadership, organizational resilience, and wellbeing, with contributions to premier OB/HRM journals. She holds a PhD in Management from Aston University and teaches modules like Organizational Development and Change.
Education: PhD in Management (Aston University, 2008), MSc in HRM and Business (Aston University, 2003).
Research Themes:
- Employee Creativity: Examines how motivational orientation, emotions, and creative self-efficacy interact with contextual factors to influence creative behavior.
- Leadership: Investigates cognitive and motivational processes in leadership, including climate engineering and contextual influences.
- Wellbeing & Resilience: Explores organizational and individual resource-building strategies for resilience and wellbeing.
Publications: Over 15 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier journals like Journal of Management (ABS4), Journal of Organizational Behavior (ABS4), and Journal of Business Research (ABS3). Recent work includes studies on development idiosyncratic deals, healthcare professional performance, and SME resilience through high-performance work systems.
