Qian Liya Leng

Qian Liya Leng serves as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences' College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest. She is a hospitalist teaching medical students at WesternU, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Portland VA Medical Center where she also practices primary care medicine.

Her educational background includes:

• Undergraduate studies in Spanish and Biology at the University of Arizona
• MD/MPH dual degree from Harvard University

Dr. Leng's research focuses on mindfulness interventions, prenatal maternal health outcomes, addiction medicine therapies, and public health applications. She currently conducts a public health research fellowship at the VA while integrating clinical practice with academic instruction.

Her professional recognitions include:

• FACE (Fellow designation)
• FACP (Fellow of the American College of Physicians)

She advises the Internal Medicine Club, Cardiology Club, and Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association while maintaining certification as a yoga and meditation instructor to complement her clinical work.
