Marcel P. Fraix

Marcel P. Fraix, DO, MBA, FAAPMR is an Associate Dean for Admissions & Enrollment, Chair Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Chief of the Section of Health Policy & Management at the Department of Population Health Science within Western University of Health Sciences' College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He holds dual certifications in Physical Medicine&Rehabilitation and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine from the American Boards of Medicine.

His research focuses on osteopathic manipulative treatment efficacy for vertigo, lifestyle medicine's role in disease prevention, and wellness interventions to combat medical student burnout. He leads a nationally funded study on OMT combined with vestibular therapy for vertigo patients. Dr. Fraix has published extensively in J Am Osteopath Assoc and authored multiple chapters in Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine.

Recipient of numerous awards including the UCI MBA Dean's Scholar Award (2016), Edward Perris Award for Academic Excellence (COMP), and UCLA Phi Beta Kappa distinction. He advises on healthcare administration and policy through leadership roles in the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine&Rehabilitation and other professional organizations.

Teaching responsibilities include Advanced Study of Osteopathic Medicine courses. His clinical sites include WesternU Health and Casa Colina Hospital. Active in multiple academic committees including Admissions and Departmental Governance bodies.
