Preston Jordan Lim

Preston Jordan Lim is an Assistant Professor of Law at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he focuses on public international law and comparative constitutional law. His research bridges China’s international legal relations and Canada’s constitutional history.

Lim’s scholarly work examines China’s role in international law, including responses to forced labor in Xinjiang, and comparative constitutional analysis of Canadian and U.S. legal traditions. He has published in journals like the Utah Law Review and Dalhousie Law Journal, emphasizing human rights, legal diversity, and historical interpretation.

His practice experience includes clerkships at Canada’s Supreme Court and Court of Appeal for Ontario, as well as policy advising in Canada’s Parliament. Lim advocates for integrating China-focused legal education into core curricula to prepare students for global practice.
