Prabhjot Kaur

Prabhjot Kaur serves as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Florida under mentorship of Dr. Olga Guryanova. Her research integrates cancer biology, pharmacology, and nanotechnology to address critical challenges in leukemia and solid tumor therapeutics, with particular focus on genetic mutations and drug resistance mechanisms.

Her primary research interests encompass cancer pathogenesis, pharmacological interventions, and nanotechnology applications in oncology. She investigates DNMT3A mutation-driven mechanisms in acute myeloid leukemia, hypoxia-mediated cisplatin resistance in lung cancer, and develops carbon nanotube-based biosensors for ultra-sensitive leukemia cell detection. This multidisciplinary approach bridges molecular oncology, epigenetic regulation, and diagnostic nanotechnology to uncover novel therapeutic targets and resistance pathways.
