Polly Wagner serves as a Lecturer in the Professional and Graduate Education (PaGE) department at Mount Holyoke College, where she has facilitated professional development programs for mathematics educators since 2006. Her work includes designing and delivering online and hybrid courses such as Developing Mathematical Ideas and Professional Development for Coaching Mathematics, and she recently launched a Professional Learning Community for math coaches via Zoom.
Her academic foundation includes advanced training in educational theory and practice:

Wagner specializes in K-8 mathematics education with a focus on content mastery for teachers and inclusive pedagogical strategies for diverse learners. She collaborates extensively across Massachusetts school systems—spanning urban/rural settings and public/private institutions—to develop frameworks that bridge general mathematics instruction with special education needs. Her research partnership with Jana Sunkle in Boston Public Schools has produced integrated workshops connecting mathematics and special education departments.
Her contributions to the field are anchored in an NSF-funded project, "Teaching to the Big Ideas," which informs her current initiatives in mathematics coaching and teacher development, emphasizing sustainable practices for heterogeneous classrooms.
