Pihua Lin is a Lecturer in Chinese Language at the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of British Columbia (UBC). She joined UBC in 2016 as a visiting lecturer and became a full lecturer in 2018. Her research focuses on Chinese Education, emphasizing creating a supportive language-learning environment.

Pihua prioritizes fostering intercultural awareness and lifelong language-learning habits by scaffolding students' progress to build confidence and work ethic. She previously served as a full-time Mandarin instructor at Miami University (Ohio, USA) since 2010.
