Dr. Philipp Gleißner is a Research Fellow and MC-ICP-MS Lab Manager at the Department of Earth Sciences, Institute of Geological Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on planetary geochemistry, impact rocks, and tectonic processes.
- Leading the DEVENDRA ERC project (2023-) investigating vegetation and erosion effects on basalt/carbonate weathering
- Expert in siderophile/chalcophile elements and anorthosite formation mechanisms
- Active in Alpine mountain chain metamorphic studies
Recent work includes groundbreaking studies on Earth's primordial materials using isotope measurements (2022), contributing to planetary formation theories.
