Philip Setzer is a Professor of Violin at Stony Brook University and a founding member of the Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he studied violin with his parents, Josef Gingold, Rafael Druian, and Oscar Shumsky at Juilliard.
