Philip Harvey is the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Sport Development with Coaching degree at Northumbria University. He holds an MBA (2014) and a BSc (Hons) in Sport (1997), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, 2013). His career includes roles as National Manager for Sport England, overseeing partnerships with National Governing Bodies of Sport, Youth Sport Trust, and English Federation for Disability Sport. He previously managed community rugby development for the Rugby Football Union in Durham and Tees Valley, collaborating with professional clubs like Newcastle Falcons. Harvey is a Level 4 Coach and RFU-accredited Trainer, with coaching experience at Durham University, England Universities teams, and junior development squads in the North East and Yorkshire.
