Petrea A. Warneck is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at Furman University, specializing in oboe performance, music education, and the Alexander Technique. She holds a D.M.A. (candidate), M.M. from the University of South Carolina, and B.M. from Ithaca College. Her career spans orchestral performance, arts management, and teaching, with notable roles including co-founding the Chamber Music Society of Wilmington and serving as executive director for its first decade. She is certified in the Alexander Technique and trains as an Andover Educator Instructor of Body Mapping.

She also serves as artist faculty at the Oxford Oboe Camp and Charleston Oboe Camp. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes individualized learning, problem-solving, and fostering well-rounded musicians.

Professional activities include commissioning new works for oboe, such as Mark Kilstofte’s 'Inner Voices' (2006), and advocating for artists’ health through movement education.
