Tiffany Engle is an Associate Professor and Director of Bands at Calvin University, conducting the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble while teaching Applied Saxophone and Conducting. She actively engages in community music education through Calvin’s Knollcrest Music Camp and clinical work with Michigan school ensembles.
- Education: D.M.A. in Wind Conducting (Michigan State University, 2005), M.M. in Wind Conducting (Ithaca College, 2001), B.M. in Saxophone Performance (Capital University, 1999).
Research and Performance Focus: Dr. Engle specializes in wind conducting pedagogy, saxophone performance, and community music programs, with a strong emphasis on youth engagement and ensemble development.

- Reynolds Conducting Institute Fellow (2021)
- Honorary Member of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA)
Advising & Service: As director of Calvin’s Knollcrest Music Camp and conductor of the Rockford Community Band, Dr. Engle mentors students and fosters lifelong musical participation. She also adjudicates for MSBOA and presents at conferences like the Michigan Music Conference.
Labs & Teams: Dr. Engle leads the Rockford Community Band and manages Calvin’s Knollcrest Music Camp, integrating academic leadership with community outreach.
