Peter Stumpf serves as Professor of Cello at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Previously, he held principal cellist positions with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and associate principal cellist with the Philadelphia Orchestra for 12 years, beginning his orchestral career at age 16 with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. He earned his bachelor's degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and an Artist's Diploma from the New England Conservatory.
