Brant Taylor serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Performance (Cello) at DePaul University's School of Music, where he teaches applied cello and chamber music. A distinguished cellist, he has maintained dual careers in performance and education since joining the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1998.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music and Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music—where he won the school's Concerto Competition—and a Master of Music from Indiana University under Janos Starker and Paul Katz.
Artistically, Taylor specializes in cello performance across classical and contemporary repertoires, with significant contributions to chamber music through ensembles like the Everest Quartet and collaborations with groups including Chicago Chamber Musicians and Pink Martini.
