Peter Hunt is a Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on ancient Greek and Roman slavery, Athenian foreign policy, war and society, and the decline of classical democracy. He has authored three major monographs: Slaves, Warfare, and Ideology in the Greek Historians (1998), War, Peace, and Alliance in Demosthenes' Athens (2010), and a survey on Ancient Greek and Roman Slavery (2018). His work has been recognized with the Kayden Prize (University of Colorado).
