Peter Boyd is a Lecturer at the Yale School of the Environment (YSE) and the Yale School of Management, where he teaches EMBA electives. He is a Resident Fellow at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) and a Mentor-in-Residence at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking (CITY). His work focuses on purpose-driven leadership, climate strategy, and sustainable business innovation.
Education: BA Hons in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
Research interests include integrating environmental sustainability with business strategy, climate policy implementation, and high-growth organizational leadership. He advises social/environmental startups and supports Yale's sustainability initiatives.
Prior roles include Founder & CEO of Time4Good, Launch Director/COO of Sir Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room, and Chair of the UK’s Energy Efficiency Deployment Office. He also held leadership positions at the Virgin Group and McKinsey & Co.
Community involvement includes chairing Sustainable Westport and co-leading his local church. Personal interests include marathon running, completing ultra-marathons like the Marathon Des Sables.
