Gloria Chie Lee is a Lecturer in Management at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, specializing in education entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership. She currently serves as CEO of Educate78, a nonprofit ensuring equitable public education access in Oakland, CA. Previously, she held executive roles including President & COO at New Schools Venture Fund and COO at Aspire Public Schools, overseeing $37M bond issuance and scaling operations from 1 to 17 schools.
Her educational background includes a BS in Applied Economics from Cornell University and dual Master's degrees in Business Administration and Education from Stanford University. She currently sits on the boards of Great Oakland Public Schools Leadership Center and The National Equity Project.
Lee's teaching focuses on entrepreneurial approaches to education reform, including courses like STRAMGT 335: Transforming Education through Entrepreneurship. Her research and case studies emphasize global education challenges, nonprofit strategy, and systemic educational equity.
