Perttu Kähäri is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Management Studies at Aalto University. He also serves as Manager of Leadership Support Services. His academic background includes a Master's degree in Engineering and Technology from Helsinki University of Technology (1993). Kähäri’s research focuses on international business dynamics, regional headquarters strategies, and the interplay between political geography and corporate location decisions. His work explores how cognitive processes and social capital influence entrepreneurial location choices, as well as the impact of language skills on foreign employees’ outcomes in global workplaces.
Research highlights include longitudinal studies on IB phenomena and societal interaction, emphasizing globalization dynamics. He frequently presents at international conferences such as the AIB conference in Dubai (2017) and AOM (2017). His contributions have been featured in media outlets, including articles on Aalto’s student feedback rankings and initiatives to integrate international students into Finland’s labor market.
