Penny Haughan serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost at Liverpool Hope University, holding strategic responsibility for the entire student journey from school outreach through pastoral care, employability, and graduation. Her portfolio encompasses corporate communications, marketing, student records, learning resources, and learning and teaching, while reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor & Rector as part of the University Senior Executive Team. She oversees Quality Assurance & Enhancement and ensures compliance with external regulatory bodies including the Office for Students (OfS).
With an academic foundation in biochemistry, Professor Haughan previously served as Dean of Sciences & Social Sciences where she initiated the nationally recognized Liverpool Hope Network of Communities of Practice. Her professional expertise spans:
