Yusra Mouzughi

Professor Yusra Mouzughi is the Provost of University of Birmingham Dubai, leading the academic vision for the first global top 100 and UK Russell Group university campus in Dubai. She holds a PhD in Knowledge Management from Liverpool John Moores University, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, and a BA in Business Administration from Richmond College London. She is also a Visiting Professor at Liverpool John Moores University.

Professor Mouzughi has over 22 years of experience in higher education and has held senior leadership roles including President of the Royal University for Women in Bahrain and Vice Chancellor of Muscat University in Oman, where she was the first female university head. She has supervised over 18 doctoral students and numerous master’s students in management disciplines.

She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and actively contributes to international quality assurance through memberships in:

• Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ)
• Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA)
• Times Higher Education Arab Ranking Advisory Board

She serves on multiple editorial and advisory boards and is a frequent keynote speaker at international conferences. Her work bridges academia and industry, with a strong focus on educational relevance and cultural integration in the Gulf region.
